The BTO product centers
Project and Portfolio Management Center
You can use the Project and Portfolio Management Center (PPM) to manage and control projects, campaigns and changes on a company-wide basis. It lets you identify and optimize priorities, resources and processes for projects within your IT organization. The following modules are available: Portfolio Management, Demand Management, Program Management, Project Management, Time Management, Change Management, Resource Management and Financial Management.
SOA Center
This is the governance, quality and management solution for service-oriented architectures (SOA). It helps minimize operational risks in SOA project phases and creates a business-oriented SOA basis that is thoroughly monitored. This solution supports registry/repository, policy management, consumer management, policy enforcement, performance monitoring and problem resolution functions

Quality Center
The HP Quality Center enables information concerning testing requirements, test planning, test execution and any associated defects to be shared throughout the entire enterprise. It also allows web security criteria to be checked across the entire test and development team. Functional tests evaluate graphical user interfaces automatically within their applications during the various release cycles.
Performance Center
This solution simulates how software is used in real-life scenarios and in real time. You can use its diagnostic tools to check whether optimization is necessary and make any related adjustments under system load conditions. This means that new web or SAP applications can be deployed with significantly reduced risk.
Application Security Center
This center lets you detect and correct security vulnerabilities in web applications throughout the application lifecycle, i.e. from development and quality control all the way to operational rollout. Security vulnerabilities can be detected in applications that are already in operation. You can also use it to help meet audit and regulatory compliance requirements, such as Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA or PCI.

Business Availability Center
The HP Business Availability Center (BAC) solution is used to monitor the availability and performance of applications that are in operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It aligns business processes, service levels and applications, as well as the underlying infrastructure. Graphic views depict the infrastructure; a traffic light presentation (red/yellow/green) indicates the operating status, and drill-down functions provide access to detailed information for problem analysis and management.
Network Management Center
As a strategic and particularly critical investment, the HP Network Management Center is an essential integrated solution when it comes to managing faults and network events, as well as for visualizing network topologies. This solution features workflows for network fault, availability, performance, diagnostics, and change and configuration management.
Client Automation Center
HP Client Automation offers companies of every size the ability to maintain a highly scalable, easy-to-use and fail-safe software management tool that especially addresses the growing complexity within heterogeneous environments and the increasing volume of mobile devices and virtual demands. The Client Automation Center uses its unique “desired state” methodology to automate the identification and inventorying of devices and applications. Administrative costs and lead times are kept to a minimum and changes can be rolled out rapidly and easily with no user interference. The integrated Security & Compliance Management feature ensures you maintain the highest levels of industry, security and corporate standards.
Data Center Automation Center
Automating server management in data centers and cross-platform process chains using the integrated HP Server Automation and Operation Orchestration components not only reduces costs and improves quality, but also lets you more easily fulfill compliance and similar regulatory requirements.
HP Operations Orchestration is an innovative workflow automation platform that enables the automated troubleshooting and repair of incidents and alerts. The large number of interfaces and modules (currently more than 3500) that come with it allow change and configuration management to be automatically integrated, which means minimizing costs and downtimes throughout your entire data center operations. The intuitive, graphic operator interface provides a very steep learning curve so that all workflows and integrations can be created independently after only a very short period of time.
HP Server Automation enables you to automate across the entire lifecycle of servers and software within the data center. It includes operating system provisioning, patch management, software deployment, configuration management, code deployment and rollback, as well as auditing and compliance management on all standard server operating systems such as MS Windows, Sun Solaris, Linux (RedHat & SUSE), AIX and HP-UX.
Service Management Center
With its Asset Manager and Service Manager applications plus Decision Center, the HP Service Management Center supports the entire lifecycle of the IT inventory and all ITIL service management processes. Help desk, event management, problem management, change management and request management processes are automated using ITIL-based best practices and a scalable architecture. Service level management and catalog-based service requests are supported. All processes draw on the powerful configuration management database.
Universal CMDB
HP’s Universal Configuration Management Database (uCMDB) is the central data hub and is networked with all the relevant solutions via the HP Web Services Platform. The data can be stored in the uCMDB and be provided online in federated mode from other systems. As well as storing the configuration data, the uCMDB also contains the logical elements for all the business services across all levels. This relational data is identified automatically with the DDMa scanning solution. The DDMi module is available for cross-platform discovery and mapping of the inventory data. The graphical interface enables the actual configuration to be easily modeled and displayed. Additional functions let you perform impact analyses in the event of faults or changes.
